Yorkshire Private Client Breakfast Club success

We were delighted to host the inaugural Yorkshire Private Client Breakfast Club seminar this week. The club is aimed at being a truly collaborative forum for advisers from across the private client spectrum, bringing together legal, tax, accountancy, finance, property, and other professionals who advise wealthy families and business owners.

The breakfast club has been created through a collaboration by Schofield Sweeney LLP, Lancaster Knox, and Field Court Tax Chambers with the aim of strengthening the reputation of Yorkshire as a national and international destination for private client expertise.

“Yorkshire has some of the very best private client advisers nationally. We are already well known for our expertise, but by setting competition aside and sharing our knowledge in a collaborative forum professional advisers in Yorkshire can build on that expertise and enhance the service we offer clients. That is what we have set out to achieve with the breakfast club” Duncan Watson, Solicitor on our Private Client team.

With a quarterly format, the breakfast club invites speakers from across the private client community to talk on a variety of topics. The seminar covered:

  • 2020 Vision: The changing personal tax landscape (James Heathcote, Lancaster Knox)
  • New Thoughts on Old Structures: How to advise in post-election Britain (Katherine Bullock, Field Court Tax Chambers)
  • Family Investment Companies 101: What, why, how, and some thoughts on loans (Duncan Watson, Schofield Sweeney LLP)
