Schofield Sweeney are proud to have sponsored Sue Ryder's Yorkshire Women of Achievement awards for the second year running. The awards are held to raise funds for the Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice and are held annually with the purpose of recognising women from Yorkshire who have excelled in their respective fields and represented the county to an exceptional level.
The event, which took place last Friday 20th May at the Royal Armouries, was attended by staff and clients of the firm (pictured). Catherine Wilson presented the Women of Achievement Business Award to winner Mary Benson, a successful fashion designer from Leeds who has worked with Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood.
It costs Sue Ryder £11,000 a day to run the hospice, and almost half that amount must come from voluntary donations. To find out more about the Hospice and the work they do, please click here.
