Sano Physiotherapy snaps up YPN

Sano Physiotherapy Limited (Sano), the rapidly growing and widely recognised provider of physiotherapy and occupational health solutions in the UK, has acquired Yorkshire Physio Network Limited (YPN).

The sale of YPN enables principal shareholder, Jonathan Picot, to focus on his role as first team physio at Manchester United.  Another shareholder, Chris Argles, will remain with the business, which has four clinics in Leeds.  The intention is for YPN to rebrand under the Sano name in due course.

This is the second acquisition in the last 12 months for Sano, taking the number of employees to over 130 across its 45 premises.  The demand for clinics and assessment centres is continuing to grow and Sano is actively looking for opportunities to maximise its footprint nationally.

Sano offers professional physiotherapy, sports massage and occupational health physiotherapy services throughout clinics in the Midlands, Yorkshire, the North East and Teesside.

Sano was founded by Managing Director and Chartered Physiotherapist, Matthew Taylor, who established the Company’s first clinic based in Pudsey, Leeds in 2011.

“This is a great acquisition for Sano as YPN’s core values of clinical quality and excellence are certainly aligned with our own. This acquisition solidifies our position as Yorkshire’s premier private physiotherapy company and expands our footprint to enable Sano to offer industry leading occupational health and physiotherapy services to more clients in the region." Matthew Taylor, Sano Physiotherapy

“It was great to support Sano on this latest acquisition, which represents a perfect outcome for all parties concerned as it enables Jonathan to concentrate on his future career and the business to continue to flourish under the burgeoning Sano brand” Adrian Ballam, Schofield Sweeney

Sano was provided with legal advice by Adrian Ballam, Partner, and Daniel Bisby, Solicitor.
