The property industry charity, LandAid, has appointed David Cowgill, Commercial Property Associate at Schofield Sweeney Solicitors as Lead Ambassador for the Yorkshire and Humber region for 2018.
LandAid brings the property industry together to help protect young people on the streets, provide accommodation and training and tackle the root causes of homelessness. With a vision to end youth homeless in the UK LandAid draws on a unique networking of corporate partners within the property industry to support regional charities that deliver life-changing services for young people who are or have been homeless, or who are at risk of homeless in the future.
The role will take effect from 1 January 2018 and will be heavily involved in promoting LandAid within the Yorkshire and Humber region, supporting the team of local ambassadors raise both awareness and funding for some great local charities.
Lauren Haigh, Corporate Partnerships Manager said “this role is in recognition of David’s commitment to LandAid over the past year- every meeting, every charity visit, every workshop and every call for help has been attended, responded to or met by David and we are very grateful. David has made it very clear that the current Ambassador success in Leeds is very much a team effort.”
The first event to be hosted by the Leeds Ambassador team will be a LandAid Quiz Night on Thursday 19 April at Bruntwood’s Platform Building.
