Business performance developer wins contract

Halifax-based Aspire Development will now be working in partnership with Schofield Sweeney to design and deliver a tailored leadership skills programme for the firm’s Partners and Associates.

As a specialist leadership and management training consultancy, Aspire were invited to tender for the Schofield Sweeney contract as a registered training provider with the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

Schofield Sweeney significantly increased its presence across the region after merging with Armitage Sykes Solicitors just last month. The deal created a legal firm of 150 people, with offices in Leeds, Bradford and Huddersfield. Combined revenues will exceed £10m.

Trevor Wheatley, Aspire’s managing director, said: “Following the recent merger between Schofield Sweeney and Armitage Sykes, we are looking forward to developing a programme that will enhance the leadership capability of this successful and growing business.“

“Aspire is a registered training provider of the LEP and Schofield Sweeney were successful in their application of a grant for up to 50% of the cost of this leadership programme”.

Graham Sweeney, operations director at Schofield Sweeney, commented: “Investing in our people is an essential part of developing and growing the firm. We’re looking forward to working in partnership with Aspire Development who are supporting us with our people development plans”.
