Did you know that your multi academy trust may qualify for additional funding?

The Regional School Commissioners are accepting applications from Multi Academy Trusts to access additional funding in order to improve schools and increase social mobility. 

In the application form Multi Academy Trusts must specify how they would intend to use the funds.  The activities specified in the application must commence before 31st March 2018.  The funding is to you be used for the following:

  • to set up or expand your academy trust and organisational structures (including legal costs);
  • establishing robust reporting mechanisms to monitor pupil performance and identify development gaps;
  • provide continuous professional development training for the leadership team, pay for teaching and leadership staff; and
  • provide accountancy, finance, business management or HR advice. 

There are also restrictions on what the grant cannot be used for and these are detailed in the application form. Grants awarded will usually be between £50,000 and £100,000.
