How to Manage Under-performing Staff in Schools

15th October 2019

Scarborough

Schofield Sweeney and Castle Education are working in partnership to offer a practical workshop on how to effectively manage underperforming staff in schools.

Underperforming staff in schools causes a headache for a number of reasons; not only does it use a considerable amount of time and resource to manage the issue, but at the same time students aren’t getting the best educational experience they can expect.

In this practical workshop, Employment and Education Law Solicitor Annie Gray will look at:

  • Useful tools for managing performance including setting standards and clear objectives
  • Conducting reviews, giving positive and negative feedback and knowing when and how to proactively prevent performance concerns becoming a big issue.
  • How to altogether avoid a lengthy and time consuming capability process.

This is a free event and light refreshments will be provided. It will also be a useful networking forum and chance to ask questions and seek advice from Castle Education and Schofield Sweeney expert staff.

We want this to be a useful and informative session for you so if there any particularly tricky issues about performance management you want to be covered in the session please let us know by emailing Annie at anniegray@schofieldsweeney.co.uk in advance of the session so Annie can build this in to the programme.

Please note this event is aimed at in-house HR and people management teams, and is not open to freelance HR Consultants or HR agencies. If you are unsure on whether the event is suitable, please contact a member of the team at Schofield Sweeney on 0113 849 4000 who would be happy to assist.
