We are pleased to announce that Dispute Resolution partner, Leo Jones-Rowe, has been appointed Co-Chair of the board of trustees of local homelessness charity, Simon on the Streets (SoTS). SoTS exists to provide emotional and practical support to the homeless and vulnerable of West Yorkshire.
As a firm, we have recently enjoyed successful partnerships with SoTS, with it being nominated as our Charity of the Year in both 2017 and 2021. Similar to us, it also operates out of the Leeds, Bradford and the Kirklees area.
Leo was first appointed a trustee in 2019 and has taken part in SoTS’ flagship Big Sleep Out event on four previous occasions. He was involved in the recent successful campaign to repeal the Vagrancy Act 1824.
Leo says, “It is a real honour and privilege to be appointed Co-Chair of this wonderful charity. As a trustee, I have had first-hand insight as to the amazing work it undertakes. I believe the skills I have built up in the legal sector will put me in good stead in carrying out this vital role.”
Leo will continue to act for SoTS on a voluntary basis alongside his work with the Dispute Resolution team. We wish him the best of luck with this new appointment.
