Reservoir Jogs

Fun runners and serious joggers teamed up and competed in a run with a difference last night - the Round the Res challenge 2019!

Located in the picturesque Scammonden Reservoir, the event consisted of a 5km route around the reservoir. Participants were a mix of relay teams (of two or three) as well as walking groups of three. We are delighted to announce for the third year running (pun intended) we won the running challenge and for the second year running the walking challenge.

The evening was organised by SallyAnn Masih for the Huddersfield & Dewsbury Law Society and sponsored by Info Track, with proceeds going to Headway, a brain injury charity.

All in all, 22 teams entered, with 14 of those running and 8 walking.

The scores on the doors are:

  • Schofield Sweeney Runners 1 (1st Place)
    Suzy Overton 24:58
Rob Overton  20:29 (fastest lap of the night)
    Oliver Brook’s replacement  20:51
  • Schofield Sweeney  Runners 2 (9th place)
    Lorraine Hammond  26:27
    Sarah Hodkinson  25:20
    Craig Derrick  27:38

For the walking:

  • Schofield Sweeney Walkers (1st place)
James Staton, Rebecca Beech and Alex Aitkin  - 39:24  (slightly faster than the running duo!)

Also joining in were Ramsdens, Yorkshire Legal, Switalskis, Holden Smith Law, Disken & Co and many more! Arena Group managed 3rd place yesterday, with Holden Smith Law taking 2nd place. Congratulations to all of those and to everyone for taking part or helping out on the night.

We are delighted that £500 was raised for Headway.

See you again next year!
