Kirkwood Hospice’s Colour Rush backed by Schofield Sweeney
Kirkwood Hospice’s most colourful event of the year is set to return to Oakwell Hall Country Park on Sunday 30th September, with the support of Huddersfield Law Firm, Schofield Sweeney.
Kirkwood Hospice’s Colour Rush is an important event in the fundraising calendar each year.
Since it began in 2015, the Colour Rush has seen over 2,700 supporters cover themselves in colour and take on the 5k route for the Hospice.
Whether walking, skipping or dancing their way around the course, participants will be covered from head to toe in brightly coloured powder paint by the end of this 5k with a difference.
Brand new for 2018, following this year’s Colour Rush will be an activity-packed Family Fun Day for everyone to enjoy.
With stalls to browse, family-friendly activities to enjoy and live entertainment from the Pulse Radio, there will be an electric party atmosphere to last all day.
The event, which is now in its fourth year, is being backed by supporters, Schofield Sweeney, who are sponsoring the 2018 Colour Rush.
Schofield Sweeney have supported Kirkwood for over five years, getting involved in Hospice events such as the Colour Rush and the Midnight Memory Walk, and even organising their own events and bake sales.
This year, the company are primary sponsors of the 2018 Colour Rush, as well as putting forward a number of their own runners to take part.
Ann-Marie Keighley, Marketing Manager at Schofield Sweeney, said: “We are really looking forward to taking part in the Colour Rush again this year. The event is always a great morning of fun and colour!
“Our staff choose a charity to support each year. Kirkwood, as a local Hospice doing work in the community, is always important to us.
“We are delighted to sponsor the event and help raise the profile of the Hospice and the brilliant care it provides in the community.”
