Schofield Sweeney has broken last year’s record by collecting a whopping 317 eggs, up from last year's 241 for the JCI Bradford Easter Egg Appeal.
The project launched in 2014 and is a very worthwhile project bringing a little happiness to disadvantaged families and children at Easter.
“Part of the success of this campaign is due to some competition between the offices, which has contributed to the impressive total", said Elizabeth Foster, one of our Trainee Solicitors, who helped collect in the chocolate goodies!
"All of these eggs will be distributed to children in the Bradford area who would otherwise not get an egg on Easter Sunday, so it really will make their day", Lizzie added.
JCI Bradford members run this appeal on a volunteer basis and run a similar schemes for disadvantaged children, the Secret Santa Appeal, which started in 1989, and the Harvest Festival project, a successful food collection scheme for the homeless and needy.
The eggs will be distributed to children across the district nominated by social services and local charities.
