The property litigation team continues to thrive

23rd October 2023

The Property Litigation team at Schofield Sweeney continues to thrive, with the addition of Hannah Cullen as a newly qualified solicitor.

Richard Jobes, who leads the team said, “I am delighted that Hannah has chosen to join the team on qualification. As a trainee, it was clear Hannah possessed all of the attributes we look for in our staff: commercial, creative, inquisitive and utterly committed to our clients.”

The growth of the team ensures that we can offer clients further protection and security, and access to specialist advice when they need it.

Hannah said, “I am delighted to have qualified into the Property Litigation team. Having thoroughly enjoyed this contentious area of the law during my training contract with the firm, I am very grateful to have been provided with the opportunity to begin my career as an NQ in this area. The team receives a wide variety of instructions from external clients as well as referrals from the firm’s real estate team on contentious matters. I look forward to helping the team build the client base further.”

This follows the recruitment of Emma Rowley, as a Paralegal Apprentice, earlier this year. Emma had previously worked in human resources within the charity sector. Richard Jobes adds, “The firm is leading the way when it comes to offering different routes to qualification, whether through our thriving apprenticeship scheme or the traditional training contract. We are making sure we are opening opportunities to a wide variety of candidates, many of whom might not have considered a career in law before. Since joining, Emma has been a great asset to the team and won the confidence of some of our most valued clients, such as The Trafford Centre and Evri. Clients ultimately want to know that work will be done at the right level, turned around quickly and appropriately supervised.

This follows the team retaining its Tier 3 rating in Legal 500, with glowing feedback from clients:

Richard Jobes is a sensible, pragmatic, and concise property litigation lawyer. I have had the pleasure of working with Richard Jobes at Schofield Sweeney for around a year and his expertise in the field is excellent. I’ve quickly come to trust Richard and his style. His attention to detail and ability to navigate complex legal issues are truly impressive, and he has always been responsive and proactive in his approach. In addition to his legal acumen, Richard is a pleasure to work with. He is approachable, personable, and has a great sense of humour. His ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike is a testament to his professionalism and dedication to his work.” Source: The Legal 500
